Sikkens Rubbol BL Azura - High-gloss lacquer

Water-based high-gloss lacquer based on emulsified polyurethane-alkyd resin for indoor and outdoor use (provided the correct system construction). This emulsion makes the paint scratch and abrasion resistant.

Description

Rubbol Bl Azura is suitable for painting wood, hard PVC, concrete, plaster, etc. which has been pretreated with a water-based acrylic primer or a solvent-based alkyd primer.

For outdoor use, a water-based acrylic primer should always be applied first, type Rubbol BL Primer or a solvent-based primer based on an alkyd.

Note: for use on horizontal parts outside or very hard woods, always start with a solvent-based primer, type Rubbol Primer or Rubbol Primer Express.

How to use this lacquer

First of all, you always need a good preparation. You will have to clean and degrease the surface, let it dry thoroughly and sand it if necessary.

Protect anything that should not be painted, such as the window or wall, to paint tamper-free. Use tape and cover foil if necessary.

Next, apply Sikkens Rubbol BL Primer as a primer. The number of coats (the actual coverage) depends on what you are painting. Usually, you do need at least two coats of primer.

Finally, you can finish with one or possibly two more coats of Rubbol BL Azura.

What colours is this paint available in?

Perhaps the easiest answer is for us to tell you which colours it is not available in. Screen colours and special effect colours, such as pearl, metallic or fluorescent, are unfortunately not among the possibilities. Other than that, you can have this paint mixed in just about any paint colour. It does not matter whether it is RAL or NCS, or a Sikkens, Levis, Trimetal, Sigma colour,...
